In Loving Memory of Dianna Virginia (Dinah Lee) Elliott
April 21, 1943 – December 20, 2024
Born in Blackshear, Georgia, on April 21, 1943, Dianna Virginia Elliott,
lovingly known as Dinah Lee, lived a life of devotion, resilience, and grace. She
moved to Jacksonville, Florida, at a young age to be near her cherished older
sister, Frances Branstetter.
A devoted and selfless mother, Dianna raised six children—five daughters and
one son—with steadfast love and care. She worked tirelessly, holding various
jobs before dedicating 27 years as a bearing reconditioning mechanic at
Jacksonville’s Navy Base. After retiring, she continued her service to the
community as a caring and dependable school crossing guard.
A woman of deep faith, Dianna was a proud and active member of Philippian
Community Church, where she shared her love for the Lord through prayer,
scripture, and heartfelt encouragement. She found great joy in uplifting her
family and friends, always offering a kind word or a helping hand to those in
need.
In her quiet moments, Dianna enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—solving
crossword puzzles, reading, enjoying the garden, and sharing laughter with her
loved ones. Her strength, compassion, and unshakable faith left a lasting impact
on everyone who knew her.
Dianna was preceded in death by her mother, Rosie; her beloved son, Earl; and
her best friend and niece, Janice. She is survived by her five daughters: Damita,
Frances, Freddie Mae, Michelle, and Delilah (Jerry). Her memory is further
cherished by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and
countless friends.
She will be forever remembered as a strong, loving, and compassionate woman
whose legacy of faith and kindness will live on in the hearts of all she touched.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
